"Stars of Direct Selling" Awards Ceremony 

We had a fantastic time! The awards ceremony was a huge success and enjoyed by all of those attending. It was such a priviledge to celebrate and recognise the achievements of those who work as direct sellers in our industry.  
The winners for each award were as follows: 
Direct Selling Rising Star of the Year - Jodie Jane Martinez, Cambridge Weight Plan 
Young Direct Seller of the Year - Ashleigh Hammond, Avon 
50+ Direct Seller of the Year - Jackie Venables, Oriflame 
Direct Selling Partnership of the Year - Victoria and Sally Brinner and Brenda Wills, Amway 
Direct Selling Mentor of the Year - Matthew Barraclough, Herbalife 
Part-time Direct Seller of the Year - Oge Nwagwu, Mary Kay Cosmetics 
Mumpreneur of the Year - Alia Jones, Arbonne 
The Direct Selling Star of the Year - Rose Bunce, Cambridge Weight Plan 
Congratulations to all of the winners, finalists and nominees. You should all be incredibly proud of your achievements. Here's to next year!

Meet the Judges 
Saira Khan 
Saira was the runner-up on the first UK series of reality television show The Apprentice in 2005. Since then she has co-presented The Martin Lewis Money Show and in 2015, she presented a new ITV daytime show called Guess this House. Saira has become a regular face on TV. Her appearances include: Loose Women, Ready Steady Cook and Countdown. She is also an ambassador for Captain Tortue and really ‘gets’ direct selling. 
Kalpana Fitzpatrick 
Kalpana Fitzpatrick is a financial journalist and founder of MummyMoneyMatters.com – which provides financial information, news and tips to families. She is also a money expert and regularly appears on TV and radio and is often quoted in the media. As well as managing MummyMoneyMatters.com, Kalpana is a columnist for Daily Mail’s Femail, writing about money for a wider consumer audience. She also worked for Channel 4’s Superscrimpers show and regularly writes for numerous publications. When she’s not on TV, radio or putting pen to paper, Kalpana is mum to two blue-eyed monsters - boys aged two and six. 
Tricia Phillips 
Tricia is the Daily Mirror's award-winning Small Business Editor, who has been crowned Media Champion, Consumer Journalist of the Year and Household Money Journalist of the Year. She writes a weekly advice column helping readers to achieve their dreams of setting up a business along with running the paper's HINGE campaign - Helping to inspire the next generation of entrepreneurs. 
Lynda Mills 
Lynda has worked within the Direct Selling industry for the majority of her career. With over 20 years at Avon Cosmetics working across a number of disciplines including, HR, Sales Support (UK and Europe) and PR, after which she provided consultancy support to a number of other direct selling companies. 
Lynda joined the UK Direct Selling Association (UK DSA) in 2010 and is now holds the position of Director General 
Charlotte Ashby 
Charlotte started her PR career in 1989 rising to become a Director of one of the biggest PR agencies in the UK, running accounts for adidas, Pepsi, Walkers and the Tussaud Group. She ran her own London-based PR agency for 11 years, responsible for the PR for Amazon, Indesit, Premier Foods, SPAR, Bluewater Shopping Centre, Bosch and Coca-Cola. Charlotte currently heads up the Rolton Kilbride, Udemy, Diamond Light Source and DSA campaigns combining her corporate, B2B and consumer expertise as Director of PR company, CubanEight.
