Soo Choy

Soo Choy (48) lives in Bedfordshire with the youngest of her three children. In 2001 Soo was involved in a car accident and as a result she not only lost her left leg but also spent three years in a wheelchair whilst doctors successfully saved her badly damaged right leg.

Having come through this period, Soo looked for work that fitted her new lifestyle. Soo heard about Susan James and the Art of Accessorising, and shortly afterwards happened to be introduced to her. She was immediately struck by Susan’s positive approach and the quality of the accessories in the range, and signed up straight away to become a Sales Consultant.

A year into her new role, Soo has found a fulfilling role within the Company. She has been able to achieve a good net income of approximately £1K net a month, whilst the flexibility fits in around the needs of her daughter and most importantly it is a job that Soo feels is too enjoyable to be called ‘work’.

Soo gets great satisfaction from being able to show someone how to wear an accessory in a way that transforms the way they look. This gives her a great sense of achievement and gives a real boost to her own confidence and sense of self esteem.

Whilst happy to maintain the number of viewings she holds at its existing level – roughly the equivalent of 2 days a week, Soo is already recruiting and building a team to work with her and to expand her role within Art of Accessorising to suit her own lifestyle and mobility.

She feels her disability doesn’t impinge on her work at all. The sample collection is very manageable and the only time that she has any difficulty is when the venue is on a hill or there are steep steps and then she gets plenty of help from those attending the viewing. As one of Susan James’s top performing sales consultants, it is obvious that Soo’s determination is a strong driver in the success she has achieved.

Soo cannot praise highly enough the concept of Susan James’s idea and would recommend the role of a sales consultant to anyone considering a full time or a part time role that provides total flexibility. The training is excellent and provides a fascinating insight into bodyshape and how to enhance the female form. Soo also has a high regard for Susan’s attention to quality from the finish of the products to way the finished order is presented, something that the Art of Accessorising’s customers obviously appreciate.

Soo concludes, ‘’After being in and out of hospital for thee years and having come through a divorce, my self esteem was very low. Ten months later I am part of a new business that is doing exceptionally well. Furthermore, I predict that it will continue to grow and succeed.
