 Vicki
Race
Full-time mother and previous school bursar Vicki Race, has
been ‘selling Avon’ since 2003. Now an Executive Sales Leader, Vicki
leads and motivates a team of 36 Avon sales Representatives and 4 managers
as well as selling products herself.
Vicki started to work for Avon as a Sales Leader and saw it
as a way of ‘getting her head back into gear’ after pregnancy. She has
since progressed to her current position as an Executive and took to
running her own business very quickly because of the excellent accounting
and administration skills that she gained throughout her previous career.
Vicki says, “What I like about Avon is seeing people’s
lives change as their confidence is boosted – especially after having
children.” A friend of Vicki’s, who is now part of her team, had very low
level of self assurance when she first had children, but since joining
Avon, is a changed woman and has gained the confidence she needed.
Vicki adds, “The best thing about Avon is that they take
beauty products back that you don’t like – my customers love that.”
The flexibility of choosing how and when she wants to work
is key for Vicky. She earns a full-time wage on part-time employment, and
is able to fit her ‘Avon’ around the children.
